Race For Equal Justice
The Race for Equal Justice 5k will return on September 27th, 2025!
The 2025 Race for Equal Justice will be a 5k (3.1-mile) run at Roosevelt Island. Participants are welcome to take the course at their own pace: sprint, jog, or walk the course! After the 5k, there will be a raffle entry and food!
All law student participants will receive 350 Lexis points. Additionally, we have exciting raffle prizes donated by local businesses and larger corporations.
Represent your Inn or Student Organization! This year, we are encouraging people to run representing their Inn or Student Organization for a friendly competition! The top three teams with the fastest top three runners will get a shoutout at the conclusion of the fundraiser. Every team member of the top three teams will receive one EXTRA raffle entry.
Registration will close at 12 pm on Friday, September 26th! There will be NO day-of-race registration or shirt sales due to National Park Service rules. Since we do not hold registration fees, we cannot offer refunds for this charity event. The race will be held rain or shine!

Shirts: This year, we have shirts for $25! Shirts will be distributed on a first-registered, first-served basis until supplies run out. They will be handed out at the event. Subsequent registrants will receive their shirts a few weeks after the event.

You can register a friend or family member on their behalf by resubmitting the form and making their payment. You can reuse your email address for the Google Form again, but provide their unique information for everything else. You can purchase all the registrations you want at once on the payment website.
Virtual Event: If you purchase a shirt but are unable to attend the event, we encourage you to reach out to us. We may be able to provide you with your shirt early, allowing you to run a 5k on your own or with friends and tag us in a picture. We’ll feature you on our social media @gwlawejf!
